How realistic are the simulators?
We proudly and exclusively use aboutGOLF simulators because they provide the most realistic representation of your golf game, including short putts down to mere inches, which is where other simulators fall short. But don't take our word for it. Check out why Michael Breed uses aboutGOLF simulators.
How long does it take to play 18 holes?
Most golfers can complete a full round in about 45 minutes per person, so a foursome would likely finish in about 3 hours. As you get more familiar with the simulators, you may be able to finish a round more quickly. It also depends on how much time you take between shots eating, drinking, and socializing, which we highly encourage, as we believe golf is best enjoyed with others.
Why do you schedule rental time by the hour?
We have found that providing the 45 minute guideline per person maintains an ideal pace of play. Scheduling by the hour also ensures customers can get specific times without wondering if the group ahead of them will be slow. Schedule Golf Now
Is this a good activity for beginners?
We believe it's a great way to get introduced to the game of golf and practice your skills since you don't need to worry about players ahead of or behind you. Also, the number of people watching is likely to be low, as the simulator bays are somewhat private, which reduces the intimidation factor.
I don't have golf clubs. Am I still able to play?
Yes, we will have a collection of high-end golf club sets available to rent. This is a great option for out of town travelers who did not bring their clubs on their business or leisure trip. We have men's, women's, senior's, kid's clubs, as well as both right and left handed options.
Can practicing on a simulator help improve my game
Yes, many professional golfers use simulator technology to get precise metrics on many aspects of the club swing and ball flight. Check out how to Practice Like a Pro.
What metrics do your simulators provide?
The simulators provide:
- Total Distance
- Carry Distance
- Ball Speed
- Vertical Launch (Angle of Ball as it Leaves the Club)
- Horizontal Launch (Angle of Ball in Relation to Target)
- Sidespin (Causes Draws and Fades)
- Shot Height
- Flight Time
- Smash Factor (Efficiency of Energy Transfer from Club to Ball)
With cameras (one of our simulators will have cameras), you will also see Club Head Speed, Contact Point on Club Face, Angle of Attack, and Club Path.
Do I need to take a lesson to get game improvement feedback
No. While taking a lesson is great, and it's a service we will offer, we will also provide you with information on how to interpret the metrics yourself. And you will have the opportunity to book a special practice session on the camera-equipped simulator to get club head data as well.
